It's Sack Like A Visigoth Day

Be it known that we hereby proclaim World Visigoth Day, aka

May 22 was World Goth Day. On May 22, 2017  in the comment thread to this post I noted that there was no World Visigoth Day, which seemed highly unfair. In short order, thurayya , officebss and I determined that there should be one, that it should be on August 24th (the day they sacked Rome) and that it should be called "Sack Like A Visigoth Day".  (That thread starts here: http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2017/5/22/1660169/-May-22-2017-Open-Thread-International-Day-for-Biological-Diversity#comment_66573184)

The purpose of this post is to promote and spread that idea and to begin driving forward toward official recognition. Also, off course, to start the celebrations. Accordingly, we request that you please rec the hell out of this post in order to give it that prominence which this noble demand for Visigoth equality demands.
