The Daily Bucket - August Yard Report

The Daily Bucket is a regular feature of the Backyard Science group.  It is a place to note any observations you have made of the world around you. Insects, weather, meteorites, climate, birds and/or flowers.  All are worthy additions to the bucket.  Please let us know what is going on around you in a comment.  Include, as close as is comfortable for you, where you are located. Each note is a record that we can refer to in the future as we try to understand the patterns that are quietly unwinding around us.

So here we go:

Basil went to bloom, too bad. Green onion, next project What’s left of the geraniums oranges, old & new Don’t know The sole grape left behind by the birds Berries on ribes milkweed — just keeps on blooming Santa Barbara Daisies — bloomed out Coffeeberries Beans, finished producing Strawberries, seem to constantly produce a few rhubarbs & thyme in good shape, squash behind bloomed but is a dud lemons old and new Apple as od mid August Chives mid August Probable Salvia Mexican Sage Fuschia Another probable salvia Last rose to start, last one still blooming Lavender getting tired succulent Chive flower close-up late August Chives Late August

I skipped things like the Hydrangeas and trumpet vine that are done but still have one or two sorry looking flowers.
